Austin City Council Candidates Forum PDF Print E-mail
Written by Teresa Ferguson

We just received the following notice from the Northwest Austin Civic Association (NWACA), so we're passing it along to you. We hope MANY DeerAustin members will attend. By the way, we're compiling a list of all of the candidate forums and will post them here soon. Please attend as many forums as possible – and don't hesitate to ask these candidates about where they stand on a city-wide, no-kill policy for urban deer. They need to know that this issue is vital to so many Austinites, and not just those who live in Northwest Hills.

NWACA will host a City Council Candidate Forum on Wednesday, March 30, from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Murchison Middle School, 3700 North Hills Drive.  Each and every candidate running for City Council has been invited to attend.

In order to make sure candidates are asked questions on issues important to our community, we wanted to invite you to submit questions for this candidate forum.  If you have an issue that you want candidates to address during the candidate forum on Wednesday, March 30, please email your question directly to one of our board members, Kurt Meachum, who will be moderating the forum.  You can reach him at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Given the time constraints, we won’t be able to ask ALL questions, but we do want to make an effort to make sure candidates address issues that are important to our members.

To date, here are the candidates who have filed to run for City Council.

Hi. I see that you don't update your website too often. I know that writing articles
is time consuming and boring. But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to create
new posts using existing content (from article directories or other blogs from your niche)?
And it does it very well. The new articles are unique and pass the copyscape test.
You should try miftolo's tools

Your posts are awesome, you only need more new visitors.
I know a method that can cause a viral effect on your site.

The NWACA and other upcoming Austin city council candidate forums are a great opportunity find out where current and potentially future council members stand on humane treatment of urban deer. Some of the new candidates may not be aware of recent kill/ trap proposals, and posing questions will highlight the issue for all attending. I urge you to e-mail NWACA your deer related questions. Hopefully at least one of these will be asked. This is the question that I’m submitting: What is your position on the City of Austin adopting a no-kill management policy for urban deer?
